Add "Roof Inspection" to Your Spring Cleaning To-Do List

Spring is a great time to inspect your roof for damage. If your roof is newer it might not need any repairs, but the one thing all Michigan roofs do need is a spring inspection. Winter storms and the freeze/thaw cycle can damage your roof and leave behind debris that can clog gutters. Finding and repairing roof damage early, before it can damage the structure underneath, can save you money later.

A thorough roof inspection includes the inside of your house as well as the outside. Roof damage can ultimately worsen to the point that it also damages the structure it’s meant to protect. Regular inspections can catch many problems early before the damage gets into the house.

Spring Cleaning Your Roof

Spring is just around the corner! Are you ready? Warmer temperatures, spring flowers, and lower heating bills – what’s not to like?

While the warmer temperatures and lower heating bills are welcome, the spring thaw can also mean spring cleaning and maintenance. Storms, snow load, and ice dams may have damaged your roof over the winter, so don’t forget to add “inspect the roof” to your to-do list. You might just save yourself from needing to add “roof repair” to you to-do list later!
