Inspecting Your Roof Can Save You Time and Money

Your roof maintenance should include an inspection of your attic at least once a year. Cooler temperatures can lead to moisture and condensation. If your attic isn’t properly ventilated, this can mean growth of mold and mildew!

Additionally, your attic is often the first place you notice leaks. Look for tell-tale signs, such as discoloration and dampness. Be especially attentive around joints, seams, and vents. A simple, quick inspection can save you loads in the long run!

Fall is coming, and it's a great time to inspect your roof.

Fall Is Coming! Is Your Roof Ready?

Changes in season are always a good time to think about how to maintain your roof.

Luckily, none of these maintenance tips take very much time or are very complicated. With a spare hour or two on a weekend, you could prevent costly roof repair or even replacement!

Be sure to inspect your flashing and sealing. Flashing and sealing are your first line of defense against water. Leaks, if left unrepaired, can slowly cause serious damage. Luckily, this is easily avoided. Look for loosened flashing and any sealant that may be cracking or peeling.
